Prior to testing this sports bra, I primarily knew While on Earth as a footwear brand. The relatively new company launched in 2024 and was founded by Todd Meleney alongside athletes Christian McCaffrey, Brooke Wells, and Mat Fraser. While footwear is clearly where they’ve made their biggest splash so far, they’ve started branching out into apparel, too.
I’m not ashamed to admit I’ve clicked on their sponsored Instagram ads (more than once). Their shoes are visually appealing, and whoever is in charge of creating new colorways deserves a raise. Since their apparel selection is still fairly limited, I was curious to see what they were bringing to the table with the Intent Bra, especially since it’s marketed as an option for everything from lifting and HIIT to running.
I’ll admit, I was a little skeptical of the idea that one sports bra could comfortably cover that many bases. I’m usually pretty particular about what I wear for different types of training, and what works for a strength session doesn’t always translate to a run or a Pilates class. After spending quite some time training in this bra, here are my thoughts on whether the $60 price point is worth it.

Who Should Buy the While on Earth Intent Bra?
- If you want one sports bra that can transition between strength training, cardio, and low-impact workouts.
- If you prefer medium support that feels secure without being overly compressive.
- If comfort and all-day wearability are just as important to you as workout performance.
- If you prefer neutral, earth-toned activewear that can easily be mixed and matched.
Who Shouldn’t Buy the While on Earth Intent Bra?
- If you prefer a sports bra with a little more style and visual detail, consider the Vuori Daily Form Bra instead.
- If you’re shopping on a tighter budget, check out Old Navy’s Activewear line for more affordable options.
- If you prefer adjustable straps or a more customizable fit, this probably isn’t the bra for you.
- If you need maximum support, you may prefer a dedicated high-support sports bra like the Lululemon Energy Bra.
Sizing & Fit
For reference, I’m 5’3″, 122 lbs, and typically wear a 32/34B. I received the While on Earth Intent Bra in a size small and found it to fit true to size. The bra has a fairly traditional racerback design with non-adjustable straps and removable padding. While you don’t have the ability to customize the straps, I didn’t find this to be an issue with the overall fit.
The shoulder straps sit comfortably without digging, and I haven’t experienced any uncomfortable pressure or friction around the band. While on Earth currently offers the Intent Bra in sizes XS through XL. Based on my experience in a small, I’d stick with your typical sports bra sizing unless you prefer a more compressive fit.

The Intent Bra provides a nice amount of coverage without feeling overly restrictive. I feel supported through a variety of movements, and the overall fit strikes a good balance between holding everything in place and allowing me to move comfortably. The front panel also has an additional layer of Powermesh, which is designed to provide some added support.
There are a couple of small fit details worth mentioning. Depending on where the removable cups sit, they can become somewhat visible through the fabric. I also noticed that the front seam creates a bit of a visual line across the chest. Depending on your shape and how the bra sits, I could see this seam potentially creating a wider-looking appearance through the bust. Neither issue impacts how the bra performs, but they’re worth considering if aesthetics are high on your priority list.
Performance
Lifting and HIIT: 9.4/10
The Intent Bra offers a medium level of support that has worked exceptionally well for both isometric strength days and plyometric, cardio-focused metcons. I’ve worn it through several push/pull sessions and most recently a double day where we started our morning with a 5K run and later finished with a high-volume workout that included 40 hang power cleans. Through all of that, the bra stayed comfortably in place without requiring much, if any, adjusting.

One thing I particularly appreciate is that the straps and band don’t create unnecessary tension when I’m moving through different exercises. Whether I’m pressing overhead, rowing, jumping, or working through more dynamic movements, I never experienced shoulder discomfort or pressure around the band. It’s supportive enough to keep everything secure without giving me that overly compressed feeling that can sometimes make a longer training session uncomfortable.
That said, the gray Stone color does show sweat, especially during more intense sessions, but I never felt overly hot or restricted while wearing it. Between the breathability and overall fit, this is a bra I’d have no hesitation reaching for on a strength or HIIT day.
Running and Jumping: 8.8/10
I was pleasantly surprised by how well the Intent Bra performed during running and jumping workouts. I typically lean toward sports bras specifically labeled as high support for this category, especially when I’m heading out for longer runs. However, this one held up better than I initially expected during both outdoor runs ranging 3-5 miles, and indoor faster pace intervals.
My most recent test was an outdoor run in Wilmington, right along the coast. Even with the humidity and a decent amount of sweat, I never felt overheated or uncomfortable. I had enough coverage and support to move confidently without constantly thinking about whether the bra needed adjusting. I also didn’t experience any chafing or friction, which is always a win when you’re logging miles.

That said, my personal preference for longer runs is still a little more support. The Intent Bra doesn’t quite provide the locked-in feeling I get from some of my higher-support options like the ASRV Lycra bra. However, there’s a trade-off here that I genuinely appreciate: I can wear this bra for a run and not end up with noticeable marks from the band or straps when I take it off. If you enjoy a little more freedom of movement and don’t necessarily need maximum compression, this is a solid middle ground.
Yoga and Pilates & Low Impact: 9.3/10
One of my favorite things about the Intent Bra is that it performs well outside of just traditional strength and cardio training. That medium-support feel works particularly well for yoga, Pilates, and other low-impact workouts because there’s enough coverage and support to feel secure without sacrificing flexibility.

The fabric has enough stretch to move with you through different positions, whether you’re in a flow sequence or in a plank extension on the reformer. I never felt restricted through my shoulders or chest, and the bra doesn’t have the overly compressive feel that I sometimes find less comfortable during slower, more mobility-focused workouts.
There is a bit of branding on the back that depending on your positioning, can create a little extra friction or stickiness against the reformer. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s something I noticed during Pilates sessions. Aesthetically, this is also a fairly simple sports bra. If you love wearing coordinated matching sets and want something with a little more visual interest for your yoga or Pilates sessions, this may not be your go-to.
Daily Wear and Comfort: 9.1/10
If I haven’t emphasized this enough already, the Intent Bra is extremely comfortable. I can wear it for extended periods without experiencing the friction, pressure, or general discomfort that sometimes comes with more performance-focused sports bras. In fact, I often reach for it on our longer travel days on the road and have worn it for several hikes because I’m that confident I can keep it on all day without thinking about it.

Breathability is another strong point here. I’ve worn this bra in everything from the dry Phoenix heat to the humidity of the South, and it has remained comfortable across different environments. The fabric doesn’t feel overly heavy or restrictive, and I appreciate that it can handle a long workday straight into an evening workout. The front seam can sometimes be noticeable under tighter-fitting tops, but for the most part, I find it sits pretty seamlessly under most clothing. The removable padding can occasionally shift and become visible, although I don’t actually feel it moving around and probably wouldn’t notice it if I weren’t looking at photos afterward. When it comes to overall aesthetic, it’s a fairly basic-looking sports bra, so if you prefer something with a little more style or visual detail rather than something you just throw on under your everyday outfits, this may not be the first one you reach for.
Construction & Details
The Intent Bra has a fairly straightforward construction, but there are a few technical details worth highlighting. It’s made with a blend of 75% nylon and 25% elastane, giving it a soft hand feel with enough stretch to accommodate different types of movement. While on Earth also incorporates a Powermesh front panel for added support, removable cups, and what the brand describes as 360-degree moisture-wicking technology. The fabric is also designed with thermoregulating properties to help keep you cool during training, which I have experienced first hand.
Another detail that is HUGELY underrated IMO is that the fabric is OEKO-TEX certified, meaning the textiles have been tested for harmful substances throughout the production process – this fact alone makes it one of my highest rated pieces. The combination of four-way stretch, moisture management, and the additional front panel makes sense given how versatile this bra feels in practice. It has enough structure to feel like a legitimate training bra without sacrificing the softer, more comfortable feel I want from something I’ll wear outside the gym, too.

I’ve washed this bra more than 10 times at this point and haven’t noticed any quality issues. I wash it on cold and hang it to dry, and the fabric has maintained its overall feel and shape. The only thing I’ve consistently had to deal with is readjusting the removable padding after washing, which is fairly common with most (if not all) sports bras that have a removable padding.
Color-wise, While on Earth stuck with its earth-tone palette for this one, which happens to be right up my alley. I tested the Stone color, and I appreciate that it’s a neutral option that works well with the rest of my activewear. However, if you’re someone who prefers brighter colorways, more variety, or a lower price point, CRZ Yoga is another brand worth checking out.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I was genuinely impressed with the versatility of the While on Earth Intent Bra. It may not be the prettiest sports bra in my collection, but it’s one of those easy-to-reach-for pieces that works regardless of what I have planned that day. Between lifting, HIIT, shorter runs, Pilates, and everyday wear, it has proven to be a reliable option that doesn’t require much thought. It’s also a no-brainer for me to pack for vacation because I know I can get multiple uses out of it without needing to bring a different bra for every activity.
It does sit at a higher price point than some of the more budget-friendly options on the market, but given its versatility, comfort, and overall performance, I do think it offers good value if you’re looking for a bra that can cover multiple bases. I’m excited to see how While on Earth continues to expand its apparel selection outside of the footwear space. If the Intent Bra is any indication of what’s to come, I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on what they release next!
