I’m always on the lookout for budget-friendly apparel that can rival some of my all-time favorite pieces. I feel like more now than ever, we’re all searching for options that can be, let’s call it, a little more fiscally responsible.
After testing (and genuinely loving) the CRZ Yoga Butterluxe leggings, I had a feeling I’d end up trying more from the CRZ Yoga Butterluxe line. I’m always a little skeptical of lower-cost Amazon options, but with those leggings I was pleasantly surprised.
So, I’ve become kind of a sucker for finding pieces like the Butterluxe Legging that perform way above their price point. Its made me want to explore more of their pieces and compare how they stack up to their pricier peers like the Lululemon Energy Bra. This bra felt like the next logical test and (spoiler alert!) it made its way into my regular rotation pretty quickly.

Who Should Buy This Bra:
- Budget shoppers who still want performance and daily wearability. This bra is super versatile for its price point. It works for a lot of things in the gym and works well for casual wear as well.
- Lululemon Align material Lovers. This bra is designed to rival options like the Lulu Align pieces. If you love the Align set but want to try something that’s cheaper and similar, then you should give this Butterluxe option a try.
- Anyone who values adjustable straps for a more customizable fit. The straps on this are easy to adjust, and they’ve held their structure well. If you’re like me and like to adjust the straps based on what you’re doing with ease, then this can be a good option.
Who Shouldn’t Buy This Bra:
- If you prefer full coverage or thicker straps. CRZ Yoga has a good option at a similar price point for those who like more coverage, check out the U-line bra.
- Runners wanting a very locked-down, high-impact feel. This bra will likely lack the compression you want for running, especially for ladies with larger cup sizes.
- If you prefer fixed or no padding. The pads in this bra can move in normal washing cycles. If that’s a dealbreaker for you, then you may want to fix a bra with fixed pads.
Sizing & Fit:
For reference, I’m 5’3”, ~120 lbs, a 32/34B, and typically wear a size small in tops.
I went with a size small in this bra, and the fit is spot on. It sits comfortably, doesn’t dig, and stays in place without any rolling or shifting at the band- which is always something I’m paying attention to.

This bra does lean slightly more minimal in coverage compared to others I’ve tested. That works well for me, but if you prefer more coverage or are between sizes, sizing up could make sense- especially since the adjustable straps give you room to fine-tune the fit.
Compression-wise, I’d put this in the light-to-medium range, but it’s flexible depending on how you adjust the straps.
Performance:
Lifting/HIIT: 9.5
This has become a consistent go-to for strength and conditioning days. The adjustable straps are easy to dial in and actually stay put through movements like shoulder presses and ski ergs.
I’ve tested this through a number of high-volume work days and one major thing I’ve noticed is there’s zero shoulder pressure, which can sometimes be an issue with thinner strap designs. The material is soft, sweat-wicking, and doesn’t feel heavy mid-session. It leans more toward a stretch-based support rather than heavy compression, which makes it comfortable for longer sessions without feeling restrictive.

It’s a slightly smaller-cut bra, but I still felt fully covered throughout my lifts. If you have a larger chest or prefer more coverage, that lower-cut design is just something to keep in mind. If you prefer thicker straps or fuller coverage, it’s a higher price point but the Lululemon Energy Bra did provide more coverage for me. Additionally (note that I haven’t tested any others specifically) but the CRZ Yoga Butterluxe line has many options available- the U Back Longline Bra could also be a decent alternative if you are looking for thicker straps or fuller coverage.
Running: 9.1/10
I’ve worn this through both interval runs and longer outdoor sessions, including in the Arizona heat, and overall it held up well.
At a B cup, bounce was controlled and never distracting, even as I picked up the pace. The bra feels secure without being overly restrictive, and it moves naturally with you rather than feeling stiff or structured.

There’s no friction or chafing around the straps or underarms, and the material does a good job managing sweat without feeling heavy or overly saturated mid-run. Even on longer runs, I didn’t find myself needing to adjust it at all. The straps also stayed in place the entire time, which isn’t always the case with adjustable designs.
That said, this leans more toward a softer, slightly lower-cut fit. While I felt supported, it’s not as locked-in as a true high-impact running bra. If you’re above a B cup or prefer maximum compression for running, you’ll likely want something with more coverage and structure.
Yoga/Pilates: 9.3/10
The Butterluxe line is often compared to Lululemon’s Align collection, and I get why. While I haven’t tested the Align Bra directly, I do pair this with Align leggings often, and the materials feel very similar in terms of softness.

For yoga and Pilates, this bra really stands out for how minimal it feels- both in how it wears and how it looks. It has that “barely there” feel where you’re not thinking about it at all during your session. The lighter, more flexible support works well here, especially for movements where you’re transitioning between positions or spending time on the floor. It moves easily with your body and doesn’t feel restrictive or bulky.
Daily Wear/Comfort: 9.5/10
This is easily one of the more comfortable bras I’ve been reaching for, both in and out of the gym.
The material is smooth and lightweight, and it has that soft, second-skin feel that makes it easy to wear for extended periods without thinking about it. It’s the kind of bra you can throw on in the morning and leave on all day- whether you’re heading to a workout, running errands, or just working at your desk.
The lighter, more flexible support also makes it feel less restrictive than more compressive sports bras, and there’s no underwire discomfort that you might feel with a traditional underwire bra. It sits comfortably without digging into the shoulders or band, and I never feel the need to take it off the second I get home.
From a styling standpoint, the slightly lower-cut and minimal design make it really versatile. It layers well under tops without creating lines or bulk, and it also works on its own with leggings or a wrap top for a more put-together athliesure look.

It also comes in a wide range of colors, which makes it easy to rotate through depending on what you’re pairing it with. After multiple washes, the fabric has held its shape and softness, which adds to the overall longevity of it as an everyday piece.
Construction & Materials:
CRZ Yoga’s Butterluxe fabric is designed to be ultra-soft with a lightly brushed feel, and that definitely shows here. It has a good amount of stretch, which adds to the comfort and makes it easy to wear across different types of workouts.
The design is clean and minimal, which helps keep it lightweight and flexible without adding bulk. Appearance-wise it resembles the Athleta BodyMove Scoop Bralette.

One standout detail for me is the removable padding. While it is slightly more padded/structured than other sports bra’s I’ve tried, it hasn’t warped at all during washes and barely moves around, which is honestly underrated. I hang dry all my bras (and make Jake fix the pads for me when needed, bc why suffer alone) but with this one, there’s barely anything to fix.
Final thoughts: Would I Buy Again?
Overall, this is another strong product from CRZ Yoga. It delivers where it matters for comfort, versatility, and solid performance, without the higher price tag you’d typically expect for this type of material and fit.
It’s not trying to be a max-support, high-compression bra, and that’s actually where it works in its favor. If you go into it expecting a softer, more flexible feel with enough support for most training and everyday wear, it really hits the mark.
Between the adjustable straps, consistent & flattering fit, and how well it’s held up over time, this has easily earned a spot in my weekly rotation. If you already like the Butterluxe leggings, this feels like a natural add.
