Trying a new activewear brand always comes with a bit of hesitation, especially when you already have go-to pieces that you trust. BRXL was completely new to me before they sent over a few items to test, and after spending time in their leggings, I was curious to see if the sports bra would hold up to the same standard. It’s one thing for a brand to get one product right, but consistency across categories is what really matters.
Right out of the package, this bra stood out for its clean, minimal design and ribbed texture. It leans more lifestyle-forward aesthetically, but still gives off enough of a performance vibe that I was optimistic about how it would hold up in the gym. The scoop neckline and thinner straps give it a more flattering, less bulky look compared to a lot of traditional sports bras.
After putting it through a mix of lifting, conditioning, lower-impact sessions, and everyday activities, and I can confidently say this is one of those pieces that surprised me in the best way.

Who Should Buy the BRXL Sports Bra?
- Shoppers Wanting Value: This is a great option if you’re looking for a solid sports bra at a more approachable price point without sacrificing overall performance.
- You Want Versatility: Anyone who wants a bra that can transition easily from workouts to daily wear will get a lot of use out of this.
- Light to Medium Support Asks: If your workouts lean more toward light to medium support needs, this bra will check that box comfortably.
- Ladies Wanting a Little Lift: Those who like a sports bra that offers a bit of lift will appreciate the fit here.
Who Shouldn’t Buy This Sports Bra?
- You Want Heavier Straps: If you prefer thicker, more structured straps for added shoulder support, this design may feel a bit too minimal.
- You Need a High Impact Bra: Those needing high-impact support for activities like long-distance running or intense plyometrics will likely want something more compressive. Look into something like the Lululemon Energy Bra for this ask.
- If fuller coverage is a priority, the lower-cut scoop design may not feel like enough.
Sizing & Fit
For reference, I’m 5’3”, 122 lbs, and typically wear a 32/34B with a size small in tops. I went with a small in this bra and found it to fit true to size without any guesswork. It sits snug without feeling restrictive, and the overall shape does a really good job of complementing your natural fit rather than over-compressing it.

The padding is slightly thicker than what you might find in more performance-focused bras, but it’s not overdone. It adds just enough structure and subtle lift without feeling bulky or unnatural. I never felt like I was spilling out, even during more dynamic movements, which is always something I pay attention to with lower-cut styles.
The adjustable straps are a nice touch and allow you to fine-tune the fit depending on your preference. That said, they’re not perfect. The thinner strap design can sometimes bunch behind the adjuster, which makes them a bit frustrating to move at times. It’s not a dealbreaker, but potentially something you’ll notice when trying to get the fit just right.
Performance
Lifting and HIIT: 9.5/10
This is an area where the bra really exceeded my expectations. I’ve worn it through everything from high-rep conditioning workouts with deadlifts, thrusters, and kettlebell swings to heavier strength days that included sled pushes. It stayed in place consistently, even during overhead movements, and I didn’t find myself needing to adjust it mid-session.

It strikes a really solid balance between comfort and performance. You don’t get that overly compressed, locked-down feeling, but you also don’t feel unsupported. As a B cup, it works extremely well for me in this category. However, I do think the thinner straps and lower neckline could become limiting for anyone who falls within the larger C to D+ range, especially during higher-intensity sessions. For those individuals, it may be better suited for more casual wear.
Running and Jumping: 8.6/10
For something with a lower-cut design and thinner straps, this bra actually performs better than expected for short runs and interval work. I wore it during a few interval sessions and jump rope warm-ups, and it did a decent job minimizing bounce without any noticeable loosening or shifting.

That said, it’s not my first pick for running. I tend to reach for options like the Lululemon Energy Bra or Athleta Interval Bra when I want more coverage and structure. The ribbed texture is comfortable overall, but it is slightly more noticeable during repetitive movement compared to smoother fabrics. It didn’t cause chafing for me, but it’s something to be aware of if you’re sensitive to texture.

BRXL Seamless Sports Bra

CRZ Yoga Spots Bra
Yoga and Pilates & Low Impact: 9.6/10
This is easily one of the strongest categories for this bra. The light-to-medium support feels ideal for slower, more controlled movements, and the fit stays secure during positions like planks, downward dog, and overhead stretches. You don’t get any shifting or gaps, which helps you stay focused on the workout instead of adjusting your gear.

The adjustable straps play a big role here in dialing in comfort. Being able to customize the length makes a noticeable difference. The only minor downside is still the occasional bunching near the adjuster, it also doesn’t have that ultra-premium feel in the materials which can make quick adjustments a bit clunky.
Daily Wear and Comfort: 9.3/10
This is one of those bras that you end up wearing beyond workouts because it just looks good and feels easy to throw on. The color is versatile and pairs well with a wide range of outfits, and the overall design is flattering enough to wear on its own or layered.
When wearing it under shirts I consider it to be more of a “bralette” in terms of aesthetics. Since the straps don’t cross, it makes it easy on the shoulders/trap areas for long-term wear and travel days. It’s great for versatility – I’ve worn this from the gym, to pickleball, to coffee so it really is a “do it all” staple.

The only reason it doesn’t score higher here comes down to the ribbed texture and fabric feel under clothing. While the texture looks great on its own, it can create visible lines under tighter tops. The material also has a slight tendency to grip or stick under certain fabrics. It’s not uncomfortable by any means, but if you’re particular about seamless layering, it’s something to keep in mind.
Construction & Details
The BRXL Seamless Scoop Ribbed Bra is designed with a ribbed knit construction that gives it both stretch and structure without relying on heavy seams. The design helps reduce irritation points, and overall, it feels lightweight and breathable enough for a variety of training styles.
One standout detail for me is the removable padding. Not only has it held its shape extremely well through multiple washes, but it also barely shifts around, which is rare. There’s no constant readjusting or fixing the pads before drying, which makes it much more low-maintenance compared to other bras in this category. That said – the pads are somewhat visible at times if they’re not sitting perfectly straight while wearing.

The straps are fully adjustable, allowing for a more customized fit, and the scoop neckline adds to both the aesthetic and functionality. While the materials don’t necessarily fall into the “luxury” category, they’ve held up well so far and feel durable enough for regular use. The combination of breathability, flexibility, and structure makes it a well-rounded build for the price point.
Final Thoughts: Would I Get Again?
Overall, this is one of those pieces that quietly earns a regular spot in your rotation. It doesn’t try to compete with high-end, ultra-technical sports bras, but it delivers where it counts: fit, comfort, and versatility. I’ve found myself reaching for it more often than expected, especially on lifting days and just general everyday wear.
BRXL genuinely surprised me with this one. While the materials lean more budget-friendly and lack that premium feel, the performance and durability have held up well so far. If you’re looking for a solid, good-looking sports bra at a lower price point that still performs, this is absolutely one I’d buy again. They also offer bundle options, so if you are looking for more than one or want multiple colors you can do so easily while also saving a few dollars in the process (girl math, obv.)
