It’s always a good day when you get a text from your boyfriend saying, “I got you a new pair of leggings to try.” That was the message I received, and six hours later—thanks to Amazon same-day shipping—I had the Ododos Women’s Drawstring Tie Daily Pocket Leggings on my doorstep and was pumped to put them to work.
These leggings are a clear dupe for the popular Vuori Daily Pocket Legging, and honestly, they hold their own surprisingly well. Aside from a few minor differences like jogger-style ankle cuffs versus a traditional hem, and a slightly thicker drawstring material, they offer a shockingly similar fit and feel for a fraction of the price.
But do they hold up to their premium peers? Whenever I test leggings, I’m doing constant side-by-side tests to see which leggings go the farthest for your money. Here’s how the ODODOS stack up.

Who Should Buy the Ododos Daily Pocket Leggings?
- Budget-Conscious Shoppers: If you want the stylish look and feel of high-end athletic brands like Vuori without spending $100+, these are a fantastic alternative, like the CRZ Yoga Butterluxe Leggings.
- Runners Who Need Secure Pockets: If you want a reliable pair of running tights that hold your phone flat against your thigh without sagging or bouncing.
- Athleisure & Travel Lovers: If you want a comfortable, flattering pair of leggings that look elevated enough for flights, errands, and casual weekend wear.

Who Shouldn’t Buy the Ododos Daily Pocket Leggings?
- High-Compression Fans: If you prefer a super stiff, thick, sculpting compression legging for maximum belly/hip control, these will feel a bit too relaxed.
- Yoga & Pilates Purists: If you dislike drawstrings, bulk, or pockets around your waist during mat movements and deep bending.
- Material Premium Perfectionists: If you expect flawless high-end stitching and premium luxury fabrics that hold up to years of heavy abuse without minor thread wear.
Sizing and Fit Suggestions
About Me: I’m 5’3” and 122 lbs. In Abercrombie jeans I’m usually a 24/26 regular, and for athletic wear I almost always go with a size small.
I tested the Size Small with a 25” inseam, and the fit was spot-on throughout the waist and legs. The 25” length hits a few inches above the ankle, making it an ideal full-length cut for shorter or average-height lifters and a ⅞ length for taller athletes.
Aside from a few minor differences from Vuori’s Daily Pocket Legging (like the jogger-style ankle cuffs and the drawstring size & material), they’re shockingly similar in overall fit and feel. I’ll break down a deeper comparison in a separate article, but if you’ve been curious about Vuori and want a more budget-friendly way to test the style, these are a great place to start.

Overall I found these to be a pretty versatile pair of leggings. They check a lot of boxes across my categories, and I was shocked at how much I enjoy these for running. If you’re looking for a reliable, comfortable and budget friendly pair of leggings, I highly recommend giving these a shot.
- Narrow & Medium Frames: Stick true to size. The medium compression offers a snug, flattering fit without pinching.
- If You’re Between Sizes: If you prefer a lighter compression for lounging, consider sizing up; if you want a locked-in fit for running and HIIT, stay true to size.
Performance
To give you an accurate picture of how the Ododos Daily Pocket Leggings perform, I tested them across four core training and lifestyle categories.
Lifting & HIIT: 8.9/10
These leggings deliver a flattering medium-compression feel that strikes a great balance between support and breathability. During lower body lifting days and high-intensity F45 classes, the waistband stayed completely locked in with zero rolling, sagging, or needing mid-set adjustments. They passed the squat test with flying colors.
My only caveat is the drawstring construction. The string itself is relatively thick—essentially a round, Yeezy-style lace rather than a flat, Vans-style lace. Unless you pull the drawstring taut, it creates some visible bunching through the front of the waistband. When tied tight, it keeps the pants secure, but it lacks stretch—meaning athletes who rely on deep belly breathing or deep hip hinging may notice a bit of stiffness around the waist.

Running: 9.4/10
I was honestly surprised by how much I enjoyed these leggings for running. The fabric provides great muscle support without feeling heavy or overly restrictive on warm days.
I am super picky about running pockets, but the side drop-in pockets on these are fantastic. They are tight enough to keep a phone from sliding or bouncing around, yet flexible enough to easily grab your device to check a pace. The external drawstring comes in clutch here, ensuring that even with a heavy phone and keys in your pockets, the waistband never shifts or drags down.

Yoga, Pilates & Low-Impact: 8.7/10
While these aren’t a bad option for light stretching, they aren’t my top pick for dedicated mat or reformer classes. Pockets can occasionally get in the way during mat work, and the thicker drawstring feels slightly restrictive around the stomach when moving through deep forward folds, twists, and flexion movements.
That said, the overall fabric has a lovely four-way stretch and moves naturally with your body. If you don’t mind pockets and prefer a more supportive, structured feel on the mat, they will still get the job done.
Daily Wear & Comfort: 9.2/10
For everyday athleisure, these leggings excel. The drawstring detail adds a stylish, jogger-esque accent that makes a casual outfit feel intentional rather than like you just rolled out of bed.
I’ve worn these through multiple airport travel days, and they remained comfortable and breathable for hours on end. I did notice a couple of loose threads after repeated wear, but for this price point, minor cosmetic stitch flaws are a fair trade-off for how well they fit and perform.
Construction Details
Upper & Waistband
The high-rise waistband features a built-in channel housing a thick, round drawstring cord. This drawstring provides a custom waist adjustment to prevent slippage during dynamic workouts, though care should be taken in the wash so the cord doesn’t slip out.

Fabric & Pockets
The fabric is a soft, opaque knit compound engineered with medium compression and a matte finish. Deep side drop-in pockets are integrated cleanly along both thighs, positioned high enough to keep heavy items anchored near your hip center of gravity.
Seams & Hem
Constructed with flatlock seams throughout to reduce skin chafing during repetitive movements like running. The leg openings feature a clean, non-constrictive finish that sits comfortably against the lower calf/ankle area.

Final Remarks: Are They Worth It?
At the end of the day, the Ododos Women’s Drawstring Tie Daily Pocket Leggings prove that you don’t need to drop $100+ to get a high-performing, flattering pair of leggings. They punch way above their weight class for an Amazon budget pick, bringing a great blend of functionality, secure storage, and effortless athleisure style.
If your weekly routine consists of running, HIIT sessions, and running errands where you want a secure waistband, deep pockets, and medium compression, these are an easy add to your rotation. They hold their own as a very impressive budget dupe for high-end drawstring leggings like the Vuori Daily.
While the drawstring construction has a few minor quirks during deep mobility work and you might see a stray thread here or there over time, the overall fit, comfort, and performance make them a no-brainer for the price tag.
