Product Summary and Features

Stride into versatility with the STR/KE MVMNT Haze Trainer, a shoe that expertly bridges the gap between hardcore lifting and dynamic cross-training workouts. Boasting a medium-density Cush50™ midsole, it delivers an impeccable balance of stability for heavy lifts and responsiveness for agile movements. The wider toe box, shaped by an anatomically-inspired last, ensures natural foot splay and movement, catering to a variety of athletic needs.

While the shoe shines with its breathable, comfortable 3D knit jacquard upper and flexible Cross Platform 2™ outsole, it’s worth noting the slightly higher price point and potential fit issues for those with thicker feet or custom orthotics.

  • Wide anatomical toe-box allows your toes to splay
  • Elevated sidewall chassis for lateral support
  • Omni-directional flex through the sole for natural foot function
  • Cush50™ midsole with EVA and EPE blend
  • SuperFoam™ footbed for improved stability
  • Multi-textured outsole grip for traction

Testing the Haze Trainer for Weight Training

Lifting Tests

    • Max Squat: 415 lbs. Good stability. Cush50 midsole doesn’t compress at 400 lbs when squatting.
    • Max Deadlift: 550 lbs. This shoe feels great for deadlifts. The toe box and lower stack height help contribute to this shoe’s stability and deadlift performance.
    • Max Lunge: 265 lb walking lunge. The flexible sole is great for giving you articulation for single-leg exercises.
    • Max Leg Press: 590 lbs. Good outsole grip and the midsole is awesome for power transfer.
    • TF2 Lifting Rating: 4.7/5

Versatility Tests

    • HIIT Workouts: Full-body circuits. If you like minimalist-feeling training shoes then you’ll like the Haze Trainer for HIIT workouts and versatile sessions.
    • CrossFit WODs: Fran, Cindy, and more. The Haze Trainer is incredibly well-rounded for CrossFit, but its durability can vary greatly, especially with its upper.
    • Running Tests: Sprints and 2 mile run. For sprints, this model feels good and flexible. For my 2-mile run tests, this shoe is okay but I don’t love its durability in this context.
    • TF2 Versatility Rating: 4.3/5
