Lifting Tests

    • Max Squat: 285 lbs. The CloudTec midsole will start to compress around 275 lbs. For light squats, they’re fine.
    • Max Deadlift: 365 lbs. You’ll notice that the forefoot compresses in this shoe as you start to pass 315 lbs with deadlifts. I’d keep your barbell lifts to moderate weights in these.
    • Max Lunge: 185 lb walking lunge. Good flexibility but the midsole lacks lateral and medial support.
    • Max Leg Press: 450 lbs. Decent outsole grip but I’d be wary of going super heavy with machines as these lack a full rubber outsole.
    • TF2 Lifting Rating: 3.8/5

Versatility Tests

    • HIIT Workouts: Full-body circuits. This shoe works well for classes and full-body workouts where you’re blending some plyometrics with short runs and light strength training.
    • CrossFit WODs: Fran, Cindy, and more. I’d pass on using this shoe for CrossFit. Their durability is lacking for WODs where abrasion will be present. They can technically work for lighter WODs with running, though.
    • Running Tests: Sprints and 3 mile run. For sprints, this shoe is okay, but I’d prefer a denser midsole for more ground feedback. For my 3-mile runs, this shoe felt pretty good it can be a good hybrid training shoe option.
